The most common complaint of those with headache is…TIREDNESS…I’m tired…fatigue….for years, or often a lifetime……Many things are blamed(meds, not sleeping, headache) but it really is more likely that it is a chemical problem in certain brain pathways….the brainstem is a conduit for the energy pathways, and people with chronic headaches have altered serotonin and histaminic pathways…orexins may also be involved(the orexin system is, newly discovered(1999) fascinating..it is crucial for energy……Bottom line: tiredness goes along, often, with chronic headaches, and is also an inherited, physiologic problem.
