Older studies show that 96% of those with the diagnosis of “chronic sinus headache ” are actually suffering from migraine (primarily)…SO, we think MIGRAINE first……Lawrence Robbins, M.D.
Migraine sufferer, 47 years. Have had this discussion many times over the years with physicians, being told migraines don’t happen in the sinuses and migraine medicine doesn’t relieve sinus pain. Eventually it gets settled as “one leads to another,” because I’m evidence that migraine rescue does relieve the sinus pain, and for me, one of the signs that it’s kicking in is that I start sneezing. Not a joke. That’s not to suggest that sinus infections don’t happen, but I know when I have one because that’s when the Imitrex doesn’t work.
