An important study was recently published drawing a connection between headache and dietary supplements. The research, conducted in Taiwan was published last month in Headache: The Journal of Head and Face Pain.
The study reported that in male supplement users, the use of isoflavones had a significantly higher odds ratio of headache or migraine compared with those men who did not take isoflavones. In women, vitamin B complex, vitamin C, and green algae supplement use had higher likelihoods of headache or migraine when compared to women in the study who did not take these supplements.
The researchers who examined data from over 15,000 people between the ages of 18 and 65 believe their results warrant further investigation to find out why these supplements cause a higher chance of headache……. online library.wiley.com 8/7/13
