Researchers looked at children with early onset headaches (under 6 years) as well as children aged 8-12 years with headaches. There were no significant differences found between the two age groups relating to factors such as cause of headaches, school performance or attention problems. The authors suggest that early age of headache onset does not necessarily mean a prediction of ongoing headache disability or burden. It was noted however that the children studied under 6 years old did have a significantly higher prevalence of behavioral problems…..Journal of Child Neurology August 2012
