Stuff you should know: For doctors, NP’s, and PA’s: Clinical pearls in: medicine, office practice, neurology and psychiatry
Our “easy to read” book has hundreds of interesting clinical tips and pearls that you can apply day-to-day. Most of these pearls you won’t find in standard texts. The first portion of our book consists of general medicine pearls, as well as office practice advice. We finish with extensive sections on neurology, psychiatry, and the fascinating topic of evolutionary medicine.
Evolution and Migraine
Analyzing evolutionary processes with regards to disease is more than an academic exercise. Taking evolution into account is vital for a complete understanding of the disease. Interpreting the evolutionary underpinnings of illness may help us in developing safe and effective treatments.
About our Honduras neurology clinic
In 2017, Dr. Robbins established a neurology and psychiatry clinic in rural Honduras. The clinic is free and serves approximately 400,000 people who have no other access to medical care. Dr. Robbins visits the clinic 4 times a year and brings in 30,000 pills each time to help treat the patients. The clinic employs two neurologists and a psychiatrist, along with other full-time staff.
