Non-Migraine Headache is Associated
with Greater Disability Than Migraine

Objective:   To compare headache-associated disability in migraine versus non-migraine headache patients.

Design:   The study involved 289 consecutive patients who were seeking treatment for chronic headache and who were evaluated with questionnaires to determine headache-associated disability. Comparisons were made between patients with migraine versus patients with exclusively non-migraine headache.

Summary:   Non-migraine headaches were associated with the greatest disability. Disability measures should be included in headache assessment and determination of treatment efficacy for no-migraine headaches.
