Topiramate in the Prevention of Migraine Headache:
Results from Two Randomized, Double-Blind,
Placebo-Controlled Studies

Objectives:  To assess the efficacy and safety of topiramate in the prevention of migraine headache.

Conclusions:  In these studies, topiramate was associated with significant improvement in migraine at doses of 100 or 200 mg/day in each efficacy measure presented. The onset of efficacy was observed as early as the first month of treatment.
