Objectives: This study examined a wide variety of sleep parameters in a large clinical sample of migraineurs. To our knowledge, this is the largest study to date examining sleep in headache patients.

Conclusions: These data support earlier research identifying a substantial sleep/headache relationship and implicate sleep disturbance in specific headache patterns and severity. This study underscores the importance of obtaining a thorough sleep history from headache patients.
