Objective:
To evaluate the efficacy and tolerability of repetitive intravenous (IV) valproate sodium (Depacon™) in intractable migraine and compare it with IV DHE.

Conclusion: Repetitive IV valproate sodium and IV DHE are equally effective in breaking the cycle of intractable migraine and the former is associated with significantly fewer adverse events.
